Can’t sleep. Blog time.

Anya gives me a little bit of stick for this although I’m not sure why. Probably because I described the be-wonderment of her parents.

A few philosophical quotes form the evening:
“Sometimes, life is like squeezing the blood out of a stone. When life gets like that, swap the stone for an orange or lemon (or some other easily squeezed fruit, a lime perhaps…grapes?)
“The flames are like devil’s tongues caressing in the moonlight. On cold, cloudy days like this, in which the rain dare not fall to show it’s miserable face, we crowd around the fire, around the devil’s tongue’s, to find solace in it’s warmth”

This nafternoon (night and afternoon) Simmo had a barbeque and it was wonderful, utterly so. We sang and danced and drunk and had a wonderful, wonderful time. Simmo’s family and family friends are among the nicest, most accommodating  people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and I thank Simmo and his family for such a wondrous night.
I also thank my friends. My beautiful friends for their company on this bewilderingly brilliant evening.
Before the barbie, I went to Sheffield. I did not purchase anything other than consumables but I had a lovely time with Aiden in the Andy Warhol gallery. Thank you Aiden.

I also waxed my mustache a lot today and I’m getting a rash. I must(asche) get some mustache wax, as it’s slightly painful and “burny”

My life’s okay when I’m comfy,

A bit like a water bed,

But if I move to get a drink or a magazine,

I end up falling on to the floor, nearly dead.

Some people like routine,

Which is a pretty nice sentiment,

But doing the same thing every day?

I couldn’t even stop wanking for Lent.

But chaos is overrated too,

Although in small doses it’s mint,

But, spending all your money on booze, drugs and cigarettes,

Is a sure-fire way to end up skint.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to live your life,

Or if there is we’ll never know,

Just don’t be a dick-head and try and be happy,

Learn from failure, grow.

But lastly, before I go,

I’ll leave you all with this,

If you finish something with a bang,

Then you always will be missed.
